Ingredients:

  • 200g of chicken breast, cut into bite-sized pieces
  • 2 tablespoons of soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon of mirin
  • 1 tablespoon of sake
  • 1 teaspoon of sugar
  • 1 green onion, cut into 2-inch pieces

Kitchen Tools Needed:

  • skewers

  • brush

Instructions:

  • In a small bowl, mix together the soy sauce, mirin, sake, and sugar until the sugar dissolves.
  • Thread the chicken pieces onto the skewers, alternating with pieces of green onion.
  • Brush the skewered chicken lightly with the sauce mixture.
  • Preheat the grill to medium heat and place the skewers over the grill.
  • Cook the skewers for about 10-15 minutes, turning occasionally and brushing with more sauce, until the chicken is cooked through and slightly charred.
