Pizza Napoletana

Ingredients:

  • 200g of pizza dough
  • 100g of canned San Marzano tomatoes
  • 100g of fresh mozzarella cheese
  • 10g of fresh basil leaves
  • 10ml of extra virgin olive oil
  • Salt to taste

Kitchen Tools Needed:

  • Oven
  • Rolling Pin
  • Pizza Peel
  • Baking Tray

Instructions:

  • Preheat the oven to its highest setting, ideally 250°C (482°F).
  • Lightly flour a clean surface and roll out the pizza dough into a round shape, about 10-12 inches in diameter.
  • Spread the canned San Marzano tomatoes evenly over the dough, leaving a small border around the edges.
  • Tear the fresh mozzarella cheese into small pieces and distribute them over the tomato sauce.
  • Season with salt, drizzle with extra virgin olive oil, and scatter fresh basil leaves on top.
  • Transfer the pizza onto a baking tray or a pizza peel dusted with flour.
  • Bake in the oven for about 10-15 minutes or until the crust is golden and the cheese is bubbling.
  • Remove from the oven, allow to cool for a minute, slice, and serve hot.
