banana cake


 

Ingredients:

  • 2 ripe bananas
  • 100g of granulated sugar
  • 1 large egg
  • 50g of unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract
  • 200g of all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon of baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon of baking soda
  • 1/4 teaspoon of salt
  • 100ml of milk

Kitchen Tools Needed:

  • Mixing bowl
  • Whisk
  • Oven
  • Baking pan
  • Measuring cups
  • Measuring spoons

Instructions:

  • Preheat the oven to 180°C (350°F). Grease and flour a baking pan.
  • In a mixing bowl, mash the ripe bananas with a fork until smooth.
  • Add the granulated sugar, melted butter, egg, and vanilla extract to the mashed bananas. Whisk until well combined.
  • In another bowl, combine the flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt. Mix well.
  • Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, alternating with the milk. Stir until just combined and smooth; do not overmix.
  • Pour the batter into the prepared baking pan and smooth the top with a spatula.
  • Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
  • Allow to cool in the pan for a few minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
