Crispy Fish & Chips

Ingredients:

  • 150g of white fish fillet (such as cod or haddock)
  • 50g of all-purpose flour
  • 30g of cornmeal
  • 1 tsp of baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp of paprika
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 100g of frozen French fries
  • Oil for frying
  • Lemon wedge for garnish

Kitchen Tools Needed:

  • Frying pan
  • Tongs
  • Plate
  • Paper towels

Instructions:

  • In a bowl, combine the flour, cornmeal, baking powder, paprika, salt, and pepper.
  • Dredge the fish fillet in the flour mixture, ensuring it is fully coated.
  • Heat oil in a frying pan over medium heat until hot.
  • Carefully place the coated fish into the frying pan and fry for about 4-5 minutes on each side, or until golden brown and crispy.
  • While the fish is cooking, fry the frozen French fries according to package instructions until crispy.
  • Once cooked, remove the fish and fries from the pan and place on a plate lined with paper towels to drain excess oil.
  • Serve the crispy fish with the French fries and a lemon wedge on the side.
